Description:
Working with the Chief Clinical Perfusionist to provide support to the surgery team.
Participate in the on call schedule.
Participate in student teaching.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED :
Graduate of a Certified School of Perfusion
Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
Minimum of five (5) years experience in neonatal and pediatric extracorporeal circulatory support preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Knowledge of the operation of heart - lung machine.
Ability to assess equipment and determine appropriate calibrations.
Must have the ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, developmental, social, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served in the section of cardiothoracic surgery.
